Hi I'm Steven Wood

I'm the son of a carpenter, Currently Serving in the Alaska Anchorage mission speaking Spanish, and i'm a Mormon!!

About Me

I lived a pretty normal life for a teenager, Grew up in a wood shop with loving parents who raised me as a Latter Day Saint. I Love to learn and further my knowledge, and so I went to college at Utah State University where I did two semesters before my mission . I love camping and just hanging out with friends at lakes and in the mountains. I'm the second of four in my family, one older brother who is married and two younger sisters. I'm the fourth to serve in my immediate family following both my parents and my brother. I Love my family,my Savior, and my Father in Heaven with all my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised LDS I too still had to be converted to the Gospel. I have chosen to be a Mormon because I cannot deny the knowledge that I now have. The spirit burns with in me and testify's over and over again of the truth that has been given me. At times it is not easy and I have felt that I would not make it, but because of my Savior Jesus Christ and his ever lasting atonement I have been carried through every trial I have faced. There is no doubt in me that this church and this gospel is the only true church upon this earth, I have found it to be true and so can anyone else. I would challenge any who how wants to know the truth to read the Book of Mormon, take Moroni's challenge at the end, and ask God if it is true or not. I promise you will receive an answer for your self. He answered me and that's why i'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was raised LDS but it didn't hit me what that meant until I was at college. In college my faith was tested time and time again by those who didn't believe as I did. This was the time that solidified my testimony in the gospel and has given me the strength I have now. Because of this experience I was prepared to go forth and serve a mission with my own burning testimony. My mission has continued to fortify and build my testimony in the same fashion my time in college did. I live my faith by striving to follow my Savior in all that He taught. Currently I am serving my Savior by doing all I can to help others enjoy the same joy the knowledge of my Savior and His Gospel has brought me by serving an LDS Mission in Alaska.
