Hi I'm Shane

I'm from Georgia. I love music and the south. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've moved around the states a few times Starting with California, Idaho, Georgia, Utah and Wyoming. I've spent most of my life in Savannah, Georgia and loved everything about it there. I LOVE meeting new people, having long lasting friendships and talking to people. I love going to parties (being in the world but not of the world), driving my car, fixing computers, going on dates, snowboarding, doing crazy spontaneous things and hanging out with friends. I'm currently serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. I love serving in this mission and truly do believe the Lord sent me here for a purpose, because there is a certain person out there waiting to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accept it. After my mission in Fall 2014, I plan to go back to school, continuing to work for a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with Mormon parents and have grown up in the Church my whole life. I have not always lived in highly Mormon populated areas and has to choose friends that'd lift me up and accept me for me. If my friends ever did something I didn't agree was right, I just told them what I thought and set an example of what was right. I'm not a Mormon because my whole family is, I'm a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and know it's true. I have seen the good that comes from being Mormon. I can see how unified The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints church is, see the organization, growth and that we have missionaries in almost every piece of land on earth. I'd like to bear my testimony that I know this Church is true, I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God that saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon to be the true word of God. I know that Jesus Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and atoned for everyone's sins, so we could go back to our Heavenly Father one day. I don't know where I would be without this Gospel in my life today. I KNOW if someone reads the Book of Mormon, prays with a sincere heart that it's true, that they WILL gain a testimony of its truthfulness. THIS is why I'm a Mormon and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything that I do, from what I eat, to how I drive. I know what's right and what is wrong, it's my choice to choose the right in all that I do. I must always be/set an example for others, always asking myself, if Christ were here would he frown upon what I am doing? I feel blessed and good when I am doing good, because only good can come from it. I've seen how living my faith has made a difference in my life in so many ways and will always strive to be better.
