Hi I'm Amy

I am married with 2 children, and love my little family more than anything! I like to sew and run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Alberta Canada. There were not many member of the church where I lived. There were moments when it was hard to choose the right, but soon my friends knew and respected my values and I wasn't afraid to stand alone. After I graduated from High School I moved to attend college and became a dental assistant, I moved again to live closer to family and a couple years later met my husband! We were married in the Cardston Alberta Temple. Fast forward a few years...My husband is a student and I stay at home with our two (wonderful) children. I love to sew, go on dates with my husband, play and snuggle with my children, run, and laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me complete happiness. Knowing that I am loved by Heavenly Father and that we are ALL his children brings me confidence in my self that cannot be taken away by anything. Because I know that God has a plan for my life, I know that even when I am faced with challenges, everything will work out for the best, and this has been true throughout my life. Knowing where I came from and where I will go after I die brings me peace because I know that my family will be together forever and that we will be reunited with our loved ones who have passed on, my children and nieces and nephews know that they will see their grandma again! The relationships I have with my husband and children are the most important and precious thing to me, and knowing that they will last beyond this life, brings me joy and peace beyond description. I am so grateful for this gift. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today, and I know that I can receive personal guidance from Heavenly Father as I pray to Him. Many of the choices, big or small, I make in my life are because I have felt His influence. My testimony of the truth of the gospel is simple. I know God lives. I know Jesus Christ lived and died for me. I know they love me with a perfect love, that has the power to take away my sins and free me from guilt and sorrow, that is replaced with endless faith and joy!

How I live my faith

I try hard to live as Jesus Christ did. I love to serve my family and teach my children. I love to serve others and bring a smile to someone. Because my husband is in school we have a lot of friends who are in the same situation as us. I like to help my friends as they raise their young families too, being away from our immediate family, the members of the church really have become our family! In the church I help to plan activities for women that will help to strengthen, uplift, support and encourage us in our important role as women and wives and mothers. I try to live my faith everyday by being positive and happy because I know I am a child of God.
