Hi I'm Heather

I am a married. I am a mother of three. I love Harry Potter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed with a wonderful husband and three beautiful children. I work part time in local government and enjoy my role in helping my local community. I also love to spend time helping out at my children's school. One of my passions is life is to help others be happy. I find great joy in being able make someone smile and laugh when they feel under pressure. I love to sing whether in public, at work, at church, in the car or at home. Singing brings me happiness, especially when it's singing silly songs with my children or hymns of praise that teach them about God. I love to play basketball with my son either in the back yard or the local courts. I love to cook with my little girls, who are better cooks than me hands down (I like cooking with them but I'm not good at it). I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, those who love Harry Potter can understand why, those who don't - well they don't - the greatest thing about Harry Potter for me was that it gave me a love of reading that I have not had before. I love talking with people, whether I know them or not and I like to make sure that everyone Has a friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I am proud to be a Mormon. I believe that I have a Heavely Father who loves me. I believe that His son Jesus Christ is my elder brother. I know that he offered himself as a sacrifice for sin, because of His love for us, so we can return to our Father in Heaven. I know that Heavenly Father's church is on the earth today. I know that through the power of God, Joseph Smith restored Christ's church to the earth in its fullness, with all the doctrines, principles and ordinances that we need to return to our living Father in Heaven. I know that our Father in Heaven speaks to us today through his chosen Prophet. I know that the Church is true, I have read the scriptures, I have knelt in prayer and I have recieved unmistakable answers that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His true church on earth and that great joy can be found in living His gospel.

How I live my faith

In the past, I have been blessed to have been able to teach young children and youth about the gospel of Jesus Christ - what it means to me - how it can mean something to them - how they can receive blessings from it the gospel. I love to help the Missionaries in meeting with people who want to know more about Jesus Christ and his gospel and am blessed with many opportunities to talk about the gospel with people I meet at work or school. I enjoy traveling to different areas to visit the women of the church and love the assignment and opportunity I have to teach them. I enjoy being a part of the preparation of our annual 'Time for Sister' event where we meet together as women, learn from each other, offer service and friendship. My favorite part of these annual events are the service projects that we carry out, whether it be making blankets for young mother in Africa or packing flight kits for families in need. There is a feeling that touches your heart as you unite together as women in service for someone you may never meet, it's a feeling that cannot be explained, only felt.
