Hi I'm Brenda

I am a wife and a mother. I love being a mother. We enjoy camping, hiking, biking and kayaking. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I think that education is extremely important. My husband and I both got engineering degrees. We encourage our children to set the goal and prepare for college. I feel that a college education has helped me be a better mother, a better person, and better at serving others. I currently teach an enrichment class, for advanced learners, at our elementary school. I want youth to know that they should set their sites high and get as much education as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He has a plan for all of us. His gospel teaches us about His plan and how we should live. I have seen in my own life, that as I keep the commandments and strive to follow Christ then I am blessed and I am happy. The Holy Ghost gives me peace and confirms, through good feelings, when I am on the right path. I also know that when I make wrong choices I can repent and be forgiven. I know that Christ's grace is sufficient for all who repent, have a broken heart, contrite spirit and endure to the end.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by living true principles. I feel that it is important to teach my children well so that they can live true principles and pass these things onto their children. As a family we strive to be self-reliant and to help family, friends, and the community around us. I serve in a church position with the Young Women in our area. I love it. There are a lot of strong, good youth that are making good choices that will help them have happy, productive lives. I also participate in our community by volunteering at our local schools and I am currently a State Delegate.
