Hi I'm Marilyn Battle

I am a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a grandmother. I grew up in Northern California. I live in Arizona. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the Jewish faith. As a child, I followed the religion because it was expected of me. As an adult, I didn't follow the faith closely.. I have two wonderful children. My daughter is 38, my son is 30. I have 5 grand-children. I am a Widow. Now I am proud to be a Mormon. I was Baptized August 4, 2012. I was Confirmed August 5. Now I have something to look forward to in my life. I go to church every Sunday. My Endowment was December 28, 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

When I began to attend church services, I was amazed at how friendly everyone was. I knew immediately that I wanted to be baptized. My son baptized me, which was a very happy moment. My family are all very happy for me. Now I spend my days working, doing my regular everyday routine. But what is important, is looking forward with excitement, to church on Sundays. I am so grateful I had made that drive to church that first day. I am grateful to my family and children for all their support and love. I am grateful to all my friends I have made at church. I know that the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and that Thomas Monson is our current living prophet. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. He helps and protects me every day. He 'leads me, guides me, stands beside me".

How I live my faith

I am a Ward Missionary. I attend classes at member's homes, or mine. As I am new, I haven't fully "branched out". It is all a learning procedure. There is so much to learn, so much to read. It takes time.
