Hi I'm Brian

I grew up in a few diferent places such as Hemer, Germany, Camp Petawawa, Ontario, and Fredericton, NB. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have eight beautiful children. I enjoy being with family and friends, as I travel as a welder. Sports have been a lifelong pursuit. I enjoy learning. I am a college professor. I teach welding. I travel in the summertime to work at my trade. I love to weld. I mostly love to share my testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and hope to be a fulltime missionary someday. I was raised in a nonreligeous atmsosphere. I will always be ever grateful to the two missionaries who doored into us and shared the First Vision the prophet Joseph Smith had in 1820 of the Father and the Son's visitation.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I were contacted by the missionaries at our door. I invited them in. They shared the First Vision with us. They asked if we would pray about their message. I promised that I would pray. I knelt down three days later and addressed my Father in heaven and thanked Him for my many blessing and then I asked Him in the name of Jesus Christ if what the two messagers said was true. I asked if He did in fact visit Joseph Smith with His Beloved Son Jesus Christ and if He commanded Joseph to bring forth the Book of Mormon and if He made Joseph His prophet. A bright white light filled my mind! A burning filled my bosom! I was on fire! The love of God and His holiness filled me for several minutes. I am so thankful! I have studied the scriptures. The Bible and the Book of Mormon are true! As I began to study the Book of Mormon it filled me with such purity and goodness that I had never before felt!!! I wish everyone could have this sacred testament of the Lord's ministry in the Western Hemisphere! It contains the fulness of the gospel!

How I live my faith

I am ever aware of my need to commune with my Heavenly Father and my Lord Jesus Christ. They are everything to me. Jesus Christ died for me and my Heavenly Father has a perfect love and understanding of me. They want me to live with them again! I want that too!!! I desire to do their will and to live by every word that they have for me. I help our Bishop with our local ward. My responsibilities might include: standing before the congregation and leading meetings, assigning sermons to various willing speakers, interviewing members who wish to participate in Temple work, teaching primary and young single adults, giving leadership messages, home teaching a few members, and attending sabbath day meetings. I enjoy our neighbors and try to be a friend and help to them when possible. I support my civic, provincial and federal leaders. I believe in honoring and sustaining the law. I try to keep the speed limit as I drive. I usually stop when possible to help someone who may be stranded.
