Hi I'm Lynnette

I love my religion. It makes me happy. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my husband for 17 years. I have 3 children and enjoy being a mom. I like to read good books, do crossword puzzles, and watch the San Francisco Giants play baseball. My family teases me about always wanting my house to be clean, but I do like a tidy home. I work as a tax preparer during tax season a mere ten weeks out of the year. The other 42 weeks I get to be a stay home mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel happy living by these teachings. I go to church on Sundays to feel Heavenly Father's love. I feel the Spirit of the Lord when I attend church and when I read the scriptures, including the Book of Mormon. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I gain power in my life when I read and reread from this book. Not physical power, but power to make correct decisions and power to be strong when I am faced with difficult things. I know my family can be together forever through the blessings of the Temple. I love my family and am very thankful for this knowledge and blessing in my life. I have a testimony of prayer. I know prayers are heard and answered. I feel God's love for me when I pray. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, he died to take away my sins. I know that through repentance, I can be forgiven of my sins. I am thankful each day for this blessing and that I can continue to strive to become a better person; to be more loving, more forgiving, more compassionate, more willing to help others, more like my Savior.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by being a good person. I try to be honest in all my dealings with others. I try to be kind to everyone. I try to look for the good in others even when it is hard. I try to give service to others and be helpful when I see a need. I am trying to live a Christ centered life. Right now, I have the opportunity to work with the young women at church. I am in an organization where we plan monthly activities (fun or service oriented) for the young women to participate in. The goal of this organization is to teach moral values, leadership, friendship, and help the young women grow closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. These principles are taught through example, action, and encouragement. I love getting to know these young women. I enjoy becoming their friend, spending time with them and feeling their sweet spirits.
