Hi I'm Kacey Nelson

Ive got 4 big brothers and a little sister. I love to do crazy things especially food challenges. Im a mormon!!!!

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in West Virginia. I Love to play soccer, basketball, and football. I dont back down from challenges and I love to prove to people that NOTHING is impossible! I have 4 older brothers and 1 spoiled little sister all of which i love! I have had some trials in my life but know that nothing we go through in this life can last forever and that if we endure with faith, we WILL receive a place in our Heavenly Fathers kingdom and rest from ALL trials.

Why I am a Mormon

This church is a church of Love, Learning, Hope, Charity, and about a million other attributes of our Savior Jesus Christ could be put in here. But my favorite attribute and the one i think BEST describes this church is a church of Change. This church does not condemn those who make mistakes but it ALWAYS inspires and helps you to change and improve yourself. It is a church that helps each and everyone of its members to become more like Jesus Christ so that one day we can live with our Heavenly Father again! I love being a member of this church and i wouldn't trade it for anything!!

How I live my faith

I guess that one way i live my faith would have to be serving a mission. If you think about it what young man/woman would give up 2 years of his/her life to teach others about a gospel that they didnt know with a certainty was true? I KNOW that this church is true so 2 years is not a high price at all. In fact for me its not a price at all.. If you found a movie that your friend had never heard of and it was the best movie you'd ever seen wouldnt you show it to them? Well I have found the true church of Jesus Christ that is the same as the church he established on the earth while he was here. That is something that needs shared and so i willingly go to all of Gods children and try to share that message with them. Because we are all brothers and sisters and I want EVERYONE to get a chance to hear the gospel!

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Kacey Nelson
If our Heavenly Father Loves us all and wants us all to be happy then to me it seems like baptism is something of enough importance that a way is provided that even those who have died without being baptized may receive salvation through proxy baptisms. Heavenly Father would not let us, His children, die and be punished for never having the chance to get baptized so he created a way that all may have that chance! :) Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Kacey Nelson
A missionaries job is to help others draw nearer to Jesus Christ. Normally they will talk about the Atonement (when Jesus Christ suffered for our sins), The Plan of Salvation (the plan that our Heavenly Father has given us to be happy in this life and the life to come), The Restoration (the bringing back of that same church that was set up by Jesus Christ when he was on the earth), The Gospel of Jesus Christ (faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End), and The Laws and ordinances of the Gospel. These are the topics that are normally talked about but if you have any sincere question relating to the church the missionaries will provide you with an answer and if they are not sure then they will research and find you an answer. Missionaries are servants of God and represent Jesus Christ and so they are willing to do anything that they can to help you! Show more Show less
