Hi I'm Gerard

I live in the Philippines where i was able to interact with people of different religious beliefs. I am an LDS.

About Me

I am single, a full time missionary of the church. I love reading and board games. I have not been to college but i took vocational courses, such as massage and consumer servicing. I love singing, and I am a member of a local church choir. I love the association with people of the same standard as i have, as well as with people who enjoy music and appreciate arts. I love people who are family oriented, and hope on building my family someday. There is nothing more I enjoy, aside from praying, than listening to people and sharing my insights. I believe that time is only a measure of when an event happened and was accomplish. I believe that families can be together forever. I like history and biological science.

Why I am a Mormon

I am converted to the church because I felt that the Holy Ghost bore record of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I know that Joseph Smith Jr. is a true prophet of God in this dispensation, that the Book of Mormon was a true record of the ancient america.

How I live my faith

I live my beliefs by being active in magnifying my calls, and in being modest in every way. I try to live clean the best way i can, and contributes my efforts in creating a cleaner community.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Mormonism is not the question I think, but if God restored His Church and all that belongs to it to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith Jr. I remember that one time that my friends are talking about being a scout or attending scout camps. I don't know what to say. I never has been there. But as I experienced signing up as a scout, serving my fellow men, and living the scout oath and law, I can relate with them. As I reflect on that, I think that we can know the truth of the doctrines we mormons believe if we experience that ourselves. The Book of Mormon, to which the nickname mormons came from, is a tangible evidence of the reality of the testimonies we bear. Before you can know these for your self, you must have the determination why you need to know the true. Why do you want to know it's truthfulness? If the doctrines we believe in are true, and if the first vision that Joseph Smith experienced as a young man has is true, then you will have the assurance in your heart that the hopes and promises the Lord gave His latter day saints are true. I promise you that as I have known for my self, you can know it as well, if we but honestly seek the the truth. Show more Show less
