Hi I'm Elder Tyler S. Griffin!

I absolutely love bringing souls unto Christ! I also absolutely love being outside, playing sports, singing, and having good fun!

About Me

I am serving a full-time mission for the Lord in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, His one true Church upon the earth! This is two years of volunteer service for God. I love Him, and I know that He loves all of His children. This truly is His work, and this truly is His Church! I know it and I will always know it. I love playing sports and being outside. I love the sun. Food and water are necessities to life and I allow my body to partake of both physical sustinence as well as spiritual sustinence. My life is overall better than fantastic! Music is important to me! I love to sing and to play music-on the piano, saxophone, my vocal cords, and various random objects! I love to have fun with friends. Being positive, optimistic, and enthusiastic about everything is very important to me. I love being happy. And having the Spirit by choosing the right makes life AWWWmazing! I know that by serving this full-time mission for the Lord, I will be able to bring souls closer to Christ. What a joy it is to do so! It is a very important work and I am grateful and blessed to be part of this true work!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a gospel-oriented family so I was raised in the church. I went through the youngest class up through where I am supposed to be with my age now. Most of my family and extended family are LDS (mormon). I have been blessed with the Spirit to let me know of the truths of the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have prayed and sought inspiration. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church upon the earth. Other churches contain some truths, but this one contains the fulness of the Gospel. I know that The Book of Mormon is a true book and that by reading it our Heavenly Father (God) blesses us with happiness and by reading it we can also find answers to our prayers. Heavenly Father wants the best for us and wants us all to return back to Him, and that becomes possible through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the ordinances that we can take part in by being worthy and performing them. These include being sealed to your spouse for not only time but for eternity, baptism by immersion for the remission of your sins, receiving the gift of the holy ghost, having faith and enduring to the end. It is very important for us to serve, for we are in each others' lives for a reason or many. We each have great potential and must do our best to reach it. Heavenly Father is willing to give us all that He has, and we can receive it if we but do as He commands us and has commanded us, living and doing His will, and doing all that is necessary to return and live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sabbath Day! As I serve my full-time mission for the Lord Jesus Christ, I look for people that will accept the true message that we share, which is that Jesus Christ has restored His Church upon the earth, with the fulness of His gospel. This means that every principle, doctrine, and ordinance is once again on the earth, much of which was lost due to the great apostasy, foretold by ancient prophets. I am serving a full-time 2-year mission for my Savior, seeking to bring souls unto Him. I am grateful for the knowledge that God lives and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is literally Christ's Church upon the earth! I love the Lord and I seek to serve Him.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Elder Tyler S. Griffin!
The Lord's Church has always been a lay ministry, meaning there is no local paid clergy. Our purpose in life is to find lasting peace, joy, and happiness as families, and to prepare to return to live with God. As we go to Church and learn through various other programs such as the youth programs, we learn about this purpose, and we strive to come closer to God every day. We don't need any paid clergy because we are building up the Kingdom of God on earth, and that is a responsibility and blessing that each member of the Church has. The Lord has established His law of finance, tithing, which goes to building and maintaining various Church buildings, missionary work, various programs of the Church, aid to those in need, and all together building up the Kingdom of God on earth. There is no paid clergy because we are doing the work of the Lord on the earth! Show more Show less
