Hi I'm Steve

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I grew up with three brothers and enjoyed all of the out-door activities that the beautiful Rocky Mountain region affords. I enjoy fishing, hiking, motorcycle touring on my Goldwing, gardening and relaxing in my back yard on a cool evening. During my life I have learned to scuba dive, pilot an airplane, and have traveled all around the world seeing the many wonders of the earth. I enjoyed the many different cuisines in the places I visited. My favorite place is Japan where I lived for two years, and I love the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

While I grew up in a neighborhood of many church members, I didn't receive my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ until my late teen years. I felt a better spirit when I attended the LDS church that I didn't feel when I attended other churches. I have been fortunate to know that the LDS church is where I belong from that time. I know the teachings of the church to be truth, and that Jesus Christ is the head of this church. It is His church and is appropriately named after Him.

How I live my faith

I'm currently assigned to a married student ward where I meet with them and share my gospel knowledge and experiences with them. It is very rewarding and a spiritual boost in my life.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes. As in the times covered in the bible, I believe that there are prophets on the earth today. I believe that God doesn't change, and that he loves people in this time of history as much as he did in the times of the Old Testament. Since he sent prophets to warn the people in those times, he sends prophets to us in our time to guide us and teach us his will. The God's prophet on the earth today is Thomas S Monson.
