Hi I'm Spencer

I was born in Georgia, raised in Iowa. I love baseball and helping my friends, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old. I love to read and play baseball. I have spent many days hanging out with my bestfriend throughout my Highschool years. I will say that I do play videogames, but playing those with my my friends, those are some of the funnest times I've ever had.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the spirit I felt when I truly prayed about this Church. I was raised a Catholic, yet every time I went to Church, I did not feel inspired. My Grandfather was a strong LDS member, and as I was nearing the age of 14, he started to teach me about his faith. I've always looked up to my Grandfather, and yet when he was telling me of his religion, I couldn't help but notice a certain glow around him. When we went home, because he lived in Michigan, the missionaries started coming. When the missionaries taught me, I saw the same glow that I saw around my Grandfather, and that is what helped me decide to become LDS. I wanted that glow, I wanted that Spirit, and now I have it.

How I live my faith

I help out frequently in service projects that my ward holds. I do this because I know it is the right thing to do. I do my home teaching with my Dad. I used to be the youth representative for my ward, and during that time I helped plan and coordinate several activities for the youth of my Stake.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Mormons are not required to serve a mission, but it is one of those things that everyone wants you to do. But that isn't good enough, you have to want to do it. A Mission is a spiritual calling, and if you are not ready for it, then you will not do well. You have to prepare to be successful. Show more Show less
