Hi I'm Tate Webster

I am from Arizona, I love sports, I love African food, I am a Mormon.

About Me

At this moment in my life I have just returned from a mission for the church in the England Manchester Mission. I loved pestering people about the gospel. Only because I know it's for their own good. Before I was a missionary I was just like every other kid who loved being with his friends, playing video games, and sports. I have always lived in Mesa, Arizona and still love it. I am the youngest of seven kids and I am the favorite child... Growing up I always wanted to be some sort of a professional athlete, but like most childhood dreams they don't end up turning into reality. My interests of career have still stayed in that general direction and I one day hope to be some sort of sports dietition. I have always loved anything to do with fitness, but with my growing testimony of The Word of Wisdom I have grown a strong appreciation for the gift of our bodies which God has given to us. With this appreciation, I have gained a love for taking care of the human body and helping it reach to it's maximum potential. I one day hope to have a wonderful wife with wonderful children. I plan to do this by learning more about the gospel each day and applying the teachings of Jesus Christ into mine and my families life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon faith, but what has kept me a Mormon is those three things that I mentioned above. As I have been able to read and to pray I have been able to recieve personal answers from Heavenly Father through the Holy Ghost. The scriptures time and time again have given me the personal guidance that I need to know what to do with my future. Everyone has the hard times, but through experience and faith I have always been able to recognize the light at the end of the tunnel. I have also been able to gain a personal witness that Joseph Smith restored The Gospel of Jesus Christ and that the priesthood authority is back on the earth. You can only find these things out if you go out and search for it yourself. I leave the invitation to all of you to do that. I can promise that your life can and will improve in all aspects as you come closer to your Hevaenly Father.

How I live my faith

You may have heard the phrase," What would Jesus do?" It is cliche to say but I honestly think that's what I ask myself in a lot of my decisions in life. I know that as we try our best to be like Jesus Christ we can't go wrong. Also, every action has a consequence. When we don't do what is right we will always see a negative consequence, but when we do what is right we can see the blessings that Heavenly Father pours on us. There are three simple things that will help you believe in God and have a peacful life. 1. Reading the scriptures(Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, etc.) 2. Praying and being open with Heavenly Father 3. Going to church to remember Jesus Christ and his sacrafice. These to me are the three things that will give you a solid foundation in life. They are so basic, yet so powerful.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Tate Webster
The purpose of life is to be happy!" Adam bfell that men might be; and men care, that they might have joy." In this life it is obvious that there will be hardships. With that said Heavenly did not place us on this earth simply for that reason. We are here to learn and grow and to see ourselves become something. We can almost choose our own destiny with our choices. God has given us the gift of freedom to choose. He wants us to choose for ourselves because that is the only way we can learn for ourselves. We will eventually learn truth, and between good and evil. God has given us holy scripture and prophets as a source of guidance as we go through our struggles and big dilemmas in life. We gain that peace as we gain that guidance. I am greatful for all that goes on in my life and the world around me. It is one big learning curve with the guidance of my loving heavenly father.
