Hi I'm Dylan

I'm from the DC area of Virginia, like to bike and camp, and am currently studying computer engineering

About Me

I am the middle child of five, two older sisters and two younger brothers. I'm from the DC area of Virginia, where I grew up all through high school. When I was 19 was called to serve a service and proselyting mission in the northern part Germany. While there I had many unique opportunities to serve the community through local service, teaching English and German, working with refugees and answer questions about my church and our beliefs. Right now I am at Brigham Young University studying Computer Engineering wit ha minor in Math.

Why I am a Mormon

For me conversion is an ongoing process, however, an important part of this is my testimony of Joseph Smith, the prophet who restored the full church and gospel of Christ in this time period. Through personal experience, including prayer and study, I know that he was truly called of God. Because of that, I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that the current Prophet and apostles hold the authority from Christ to direct His church now throughout the whole earth.

How I live my faith

I have found the most fulfilling way to live my faith to often be through serving other people. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints focuses on individuals, and seeing to their needs, both spiritual and often temporal (to and extent). Having chances to serve others in my congregation and serving those around me in the community helps me to draw closer to the Savoir. Additionally, personal worship allows me to deepen my understanding of Gods plan. Studying scriptures, personal prayer and attending church services may seem like simple and basic things to do, but establishing these daily patterns helps to provide a constant sources of understanding and peace in my life.
