Hi I'm Cameron

I am happy, excited, young, Mormon and I absolutely love to make people laugh.

About Me

Right now I am serving a mission in the Texas Houston East Mission. I am grateful to be a missionary. My story is neat. My mom has been a member her whole life. However my dad is a convert. My dad was always my biggest hero and sadly he passed away in November of 2013. He is still the greatest man I have ever known and I hope I can be like him some day. I have 2 sisters who are pretty nice. My family is pretty great. I am grateful for all of them despite our differences. I'm grateful for the gospel for bringing us closer. I love to laugh and smile and have a good time. I love anything funny. I love music. Almost any genre. I enjoy camping and running and hiking and singing and acting and making run on sentences. I want to go to college but I am still not sure what I am going to go to school for. Probably Mass Communication or dental. It's still up in the air at this point. I'm unique and I love everyone. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I have discovered that it is true. My mission has solidified that so much. When I have the opportunity to teach those that have never had a strong foundation of religion it just makes me so grateful to know that I have had that and that I get to help them to gain the understanding that I have. It makes me smile to be a Mormon. :)

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday, but in this crazy world it can be hard. I try to stand as a witness in all things and do my best. I know my Heavenly Father loves me regardless of the mistakes I have made, but that shouldn't make me try any less to be the best I can be. My mission has been a great benefit to me and helped me so much in so many ways. I can't even describe the amount of growth I have seen in myself and I am extremely grateful for that. I owe a lot of my change to my trials and to my Mission President, President Crawford. He has helped me so much with so many things. I just want to be the best that I can and prove myself worthy to God at the day of judgement. I just want to be with my family forever. :) So far I have served in Vidor, Texas; Baytown, Texas; Houston, Texas; Moss Bluff, Louisiana and Atascocita, Texas. :)

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

2 Nephi 2:25 explains the purpose of life very simply. Adam fell that men might be; and men are that they might have joy. We are here to experience life. Although some situations in our lives aren't always necessarily joyful, they teach us opposition. We can't experience the feeling of joy if we have never experiences sadness. Our Heavenly Father gave Adam and Eve agency, or the ability to choose, in the Garden of Eden. However, they didn't know right from wrong. They couldn't tell the difference between emotions. How can one know happiness when one has never felt sorrow. When Satan tempted Adam and Eve and got them to partake of the fruit, they then had opposition in all things. They could feel both happy and sad, pain and health. Our Heavenly Father didn't do this to punish us, He did this because He loves us and it was all part of the Plan. This was crucial for our well-being. How could we learn and progress if there was never opposition? The purpose of live is for us as individuals, to learn and progress. To come to an understanding of things for ourselves. We learn, we grow, we make mistakes and we repent. The purpose of life is for us to try and be the best that we can so we can live with our Heavenly Father again. Show more Show less
