Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Yankee by birth and a Texan by choice. I'm a professional, an aunt, a sister, a friend. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a single woman. My dogs are my babies. My nieces and nephews are my passion. I love to travel. I enjoy reading, music, gardening, crafting, photography, good food, playing games with my loved ones and lots of other things. I work for a very entrepreneurial company which challenges me constantly and provides me with lots of opportunities to learn new skills. Next to my family and my religion, learning new things is probably my greatest passion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be one. I was raised in a Mormon home, but reached a point in my life where I knew I had to find out for myself if it was true. I find great happiness and peace in the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Like everyone, I have faced many difficulties and disappointments in my life. But, through this Gospel I am able to move forward, find hope, and know that I have a purpose on this earth. For me, knowing that I have a purpose, knowing that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me...that is very important. I also adore my family! The knowledge that we can be together for eternity is wonderful to me. The love of family is one of the greatest ways to experience in some measure the love our Savior has for us. I know He lives. I know He knows who I am. I know He loves me. And I know that this is His Gospel!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the Relief Society president in my local congregation (ward). The Relief Society is the largest women's organization in the world. I love the opportunities for service that it provides. Through my calling as the Relief Society president and through the Relief Society organization I have been able to serve my friends and neighbors in my local community as well as individuals in other areas of the world. I believe that service is the best way to show our gratitude for what we have and our love for others and for our Savior.
