Hi I'm Jason Allred

I'm from Montana, and I love the outdoors. I love to have fun and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Montana. I am the 4th of 7 kids. I love to do anything that involves moving and/or being outside. Some things I really like are camping, hiking, and fishing. I am a certified CNC Machinist and I love to weld. I was on the track team at Utah State University before my mission. I also love to laugh and have fun. Being happy is my favorite thing to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know how important it is to do the things that God and Jesus Christ have asked us to do. Many people think that these things are restricting, but really it's the exact opposite of that. By giving us guidelines and rules we are kept where we need to be so that we can be free to make our own choices and not have anything that is holding us back from returning to live with our Father in Heaven. I am Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins and pains, He suffered for each one of us individually. He knows each of us and what we are going through, and He can help comfort us and show us what we need to do to make things better. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us and wants to help us, all we need to do is ask. Through prayer we can communicate with God and ask him for things that we need. Prayer is also a way to show God gratitude, He has given us all things. Without God and Jesus Christ we are nothing. Without Jesus Christ we cannot return to live with our families forever in the presence of our Heavenly Father. The Gospel of Jesus Christ that is taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints show us how we can return to live with God again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to do everything the Lord has asked of us. He said " If ye love me, keep my commandments." As a missionary for the LDS church, my focus is to help others come unto Christ and show them how much he can bless them. God loves us so much and I know this, so I want to do everything I can to please Him and show others His love for them. I live my faith by trusting in God and Jesus Christ, knowing that if I give it my all then They will help me throughout my life.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Jason Allred
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a nonprofit church, meaning that none of the leaders in our church are paid to do what they do. But God has commanded that we give 10 percent of what we have to pay to Him in return for Him giving us everything that we have. God has created and given us everything that is good in this life. Paying the 10 percent is a way that we show gratitude and respect to our Heavenly Father. Tithing goes to a number of different things, like building churches and Temples. But tithing is really a major test of our faith in the Lord. He has promised us blessings that we won't have room enough to recieve if we just pay tithing. It takes a lot of faith to give 10 percent of our income to the church but we will recieve blessings if we do so. Show more Show less
