Hi I'm Katlyn

Mormon girl from Utah and currently on my way to serve the people of California, San Fernando! So thankful for this opportunity!

About Me

Recently I have gotten the chance to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been called to the California, San Fernando Mission. I am full of trust in the Lord that whatever happens is for a reason, and that there are so many blessings in store for those who will reach out and listen to the gospel. I'm a little nervous and sometimes need a boost of confidence, but then I remember this scripture, Proverbs 3: 5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." I have been so blessed to have been born into the gospel, surrounded by so much love and the spirit, and I could not even fathom a life without it. He has done so much for me, everyday, loving me unconditionally and endlessly, it would be my honor to serve the people of California. This is a gospel full of hope, faith, and love. I know that this is the true gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that He is our Savior and Redeemer of the world. That His atonement is the center of His gospel and with it we can accomplish all things through Him.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a mormon? I know that this is the only true church of Jesus Christ, and that we would not be blessed with it if it were not for our prophet Joseph Smith, who restored it. Who had the faith as a young boy to ask God, and I know he received his answer from God, our Heavenly Father, and from our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that we have prophets today who receive revelation from God, and that it can help us in our daily lives. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that it has helped me everyday that I read it. I know that whoever does read it, with sincere intent, and asks in prayer, will receive an answer. Everyday I am blessed with the knowledge of the truth, and even when I slip and am weak, I know I can always turn towards our Lord and He will help me and love me constantly without fail, because He is perfect, and He will not fail us. I challenge you to read the Book of Mormon and see how it will bless your life, as I know it will.

How I live my faith

It's not easy to be an example somedays, but I know that the Lord knows what we ALL need, and that if we do our best, and be like Him, we can bless those who are hurting. We could be that vessel somebody needs. All I can do is make the best effort and He will pull me through the hard times. "Effort is required, but it is effort you will never, ever regret." - President Thomas S. Monson.
