Hi I'm Patty

I am a mormon and I grew up in Sunny California.

About Me

I love to sew and there is not a day that I am not sewing. I do like to do crafts and I have just recently learned how to make jewelry and I want to learn to do more. I am a mom I have three grown children and I have 11 grand children and 1 great grand daughter. I think people would most identify me with sewing

Why I am a Mormon

When I was growing up my father died when I was 10. And my mother had at that time 5 children and we really struggled. So after much persuasion my uncle talked my mom into coming to church. After the lessons my family and I were babtized. Since then my mother has died, my siblings no longer go to church. I am the only one still attending. I have been asked Why or how can I believe in the Mormon Church.and I said why not. I know that the word of wisdom works. I had health issues and since I have been following the word of wisdom I am doing good. I Love this church and I know that it is true the true church.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church and community. I work at the polling place twice a year. I used to donate my time at a retirement home doing crafts with the patients. I also babyset for people. I truely love children. And now I am doing other things, I have a calling, and I am second counselor, and we have an activity once a month. I really enjoy my calling and being with the other sisters in the Church makes life so much more than what is when I am alone and I am sure that the other sisters feel the same

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Patty
AT one point I was inactive and I was smoking and when I was 38 I had a heart atack and I quit smoking. Now 28 years later I am doing so much better. And I know that the word of wisdom and my faith has every thing to do with my health. And I have that to be grateful for. Show more Show less
