Hi I'm Miranda

I grew up in sunny Florida. I am a hairstylist, baker, and cat lover. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to create! Some of my favorite ways of creating include drawing, baking, playing guitar, photography & decorating. I grew up in a loving home with two amazing parents, and three siblings. With my Dad being in the Air Force we had the opportunity to move around a lot and experience many different places. My parents always taught me to love learning and experience things for myself. And that is what I try to do each day! Nothing makes me feel more alive than when I am able to marvel at God's creations, whether that be high on a mountain top or looking at the countless stars I love looking back on my life and seeing all the blessings I have received. I can truly say that I have seen God's hand in my life so many times! I am so very blessed to be serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Houston mission. I love bringing the joy of Jesus Christ's gospel into people's lives!

Why I am a Mormon

It makes me happy. It's a simple as that. Not only does it make me happy, but it brings joy, which is so much more lasting than happiness. I feel good when I read the scriptures, attend church, and help serve others. If something makes me feel good, and makes me want to better myself, and brings happiness into my life and the lives of those around me, then why wouldn't I do everything to keep that? And not only keep it, but share it too! As a missionary I strive to help bring this happiness and joy into the lives of people I meet here in Houston Texas.

How I live my faith

William Shakespeare penned many wonderful things in his life but one of my favorites is "They do not love that do not show their love." How true that is! The very best way to show your love is to live it. I try hard to live it every second, of every day. I am able to show my love and faith through my words, actions, and thoughts. Just as Christ has said "If ye a love me, keep my commandments."

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

That you and I alike are beloved children of a Heavenly Father. That because you are so loved of your Father in heaven that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take on your sins and atone for them, That through faith on Christ's name, repenting of past sins, baptism, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost we are able to return and live with our Heavenly Father again someday. Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

We understand that men and women each have divine roles and purposes here on this earth, and are seen as equal in The church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. Equal doesn't always mean the exact same, but of the same value. Women play an active role in leading and guiding church members. The Relief Society, which is the oldest and largest women's organization in the world, is headed by women, who work together with men to help members build faith in Christ. Show more Show less
