Hi I'm Jeffrey Pyne

I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. I love the Lord. I am called to serve. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports and nature. I love to swim. I love to learn new things and teach others the things that I know. I speak English and a little bit of Spanish. I am currently in college. I am called to serve a mission in Mendoza, Argentina. Upon completing my mission, I plan to join the Air Force and do a Reserve Officer Training Corps at a local college. Upon graduation I will use my knowledge to serve my country and my God.

Why I am a Mormon

My father has always been a member of the church. My mother converted at the age of 13. I was born and raised in the church. In high school I started to falter in my church responsibilities. On day during my Sophomore year I decided that I either needed to take church seriously and start fulfilling my responsibilities or leave the church. I prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked Him for guidance. To show to my Father in Heaven that I was serious in my convictions, I started to read the Book of Mormon and prayed everyday to know if what I had read was true. The defining moment came on the day I finished the Book of Mormon. On that day I prayed to Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. An overwhelming peace came to my heart that worlds cannot explain. From that day on I have known that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church on the Earth, that the Book of Mormon IS another testament of Jesus Christ just like the Holy Bible, that Joseph Smith and all the prophets since are true prophets called by God himself, and many other great and marvelous truths of the gospel. I am a Mormon because I am a child of God who wants to do His will and being a Mormon is the best way I know to do that.

How I live my faith

I try to display charity (the pure love of Christ) everyday. In my ward I teach investigators new members the principles of the gospel. In this class I am able to help individuals learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I find great joy in teaching others and I know that God blesses me for my service to His children. I know that God has a plan for each one of us. If we are to live His commandments and listen to His will He will bless our lives more than we could ever imagine. If we live righteous lives we will be able to live for all eternity with God and our loved ones in Heaven. The knowledge of the gospel of Christ has brought joy, peace, and purpose to my life.
