Hi I'm James Cluff

I've lived most of my life in Spring, Texas. I write music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a musician/songwriter. I play multiple instruments, including guitar, bass, piano, and drums. One of my life goals is to learn as many instruments I can in my lifetime. I write many different styles of music. I love hardcore music, like Memphis May Fire or We Came As Romans, but with great and personal messages behind them. I also love EDM, like Class, Madeon, and Vanic. I also love more soft styles of music, like Sky Sailing or newer Oceana. My life is mostly integrated around music. I have friends that play different instruments so I write and play different kinds of music with them. I also plan on going to BYU for college and taking the Commercial Music major and eventually becoming a music producer and creating my own music production company and recording and producing all types of music.

Why I am a Mormon

The thing I love most about this church is our view of Charity, or "The Pure Love of Christ". The things you do to other children of God are basically thing you do to him, so treat others how you would treat God. I love learning how to love people. I feel like people just need to focus on the good things about people and understand how fantastic each person on Earth is. Everyone is an amazing person in their own way. Our job as humans is to find those things that make each person amazing. Another very important thing for me is that my little brother and sister died at 8 and 10 years old and to know that they are happy and moving on and progressing make their deaths so easy to cope with. My view of their passing has changed greatly as I have progressed in this church. It's so comforting to know that because of how young they were they must have been such amazing souls. They didn't have to be tested any longer. They were that amazing. I love them and I'm a Mormon, because I know that God loves them even more than that.

How I live my faith

I love serving people! I love putting smiles on peoples' faces! I try to give an example to people of just being there for people when they need you and trying your best to make everyone's lives better. If you have to go a little out of your way to hold the door open for someone or help them pick something up they dropped, don't think twice. Help that person out. You will make such an amazing difference in their day, you have no idea. I've served in many leadership positions for great amounts of time and I really tried to set my focus on the members of each group I would lead. Pulling members of groups really helps the strength of those groups and causes creation of greater moments to remember. I try my hardest to do my part in pulling people together. You'll never know how much you'll love someone till you really take the time to get to know them.
