Hi I'm Jenae

I'm from New York. I'm a sister and a daughter. I'm a college student. And I'm Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and a college sophmore at Utah Valley University. I love to read, write, and play basketball and softball. I love spending time with kids and seeing the world through their eyes! I have one brother, who is serving a LDS mission in the Brazil Sao Paulo North mission until August 2013. My best friend will be serving a mission in Guatemala for a year and a half starting in November 2012. I love missionaries and their willingness to take time out of their lives to serve people and share the gospel. I would not be who I am today if it weren't for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has helped me in difficult, happy, and sad times. There were moments in my life where I didn't understand why I had to go through the trial that was happening, but through the scriptures, prayer, and Christ's representatives I was able to make it through and become a better person for it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon but have still had to come to know for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. Through reading and studying The Book of Mormon I've come to know that this church is true and that if we obey the commandments that Christ and the prophets have given us, we will be blessed. My testimony has come through many trials of faith, but through each trial I have learned to love the gospel of Jesus Christ even more than I did before. I love being a Mormon and am so grateful for the blessings it brings in my life!

How I live my faith

I went to a high school where my brother and I were the only LDS kids and although it was tough, I loved being an example to others and having people know that I was Mormon. There were many times when people would try to get me to give into temptation, but I knew the importance of staying strong to my beliefs, because you will always be blessed even if the other people around you don't find your choices "cool".
