Hi I'm Alex Fletcher

I was born and raised in Maine. I love to water-ski, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be active and just be outside. My favorite thing to do over the summer is be on the lake. I love to go tubing, water skiing, boating, going out on the jet ski, swimming, everything. When I'm not on the water I love playing sports with my friends, 4-wheeling, biking, paint balling, and working outside. Although being outdoors is my thing during the warm months, over winter its not so much the case. During the winter you'd probably find me curled up on the couch with my dog, and we'd be watching a movie or sleeping. I'm currently attending school for my BS in business management.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It's something that has ever really been shoved down my throat or been forced upon me, my mom growing up always let me choose to go to church or let me choose what I wanted to believe. For awhile during my early to mid teen years there was a point where I decided that I didn't really like going to church, and that it wasn't all that great after all. I would go with my mom maybe once a month if that, and I felt as though the Gospel didn't matter in my life. I was having a rough time and I figured going to church and just having one more thing to commit myself to and that it was more of a hassle than anything else. One day I don't really know exactly what sparked it, but I went to church and there was a really good feeling and I could feel the spirit and knew that's where I needed to be. So I started going regularly again and I started to love it. Next thing I knew there were some boys in the ward who I had previously never cared for, that I started to become really good friends with. It felt right and deep down in my heart I could feel it was right and was where God wanted and needed me to be. Ever since I've been strong to the faith, and proud to say that I am a Mormon. I have a testimony "that god loves me and each and everyone of us here on this Earth. That we do have a living prophet who leads us and guides us through the divine promptings and knowledge of our Lord. I Know that The Book of Mormon is true and that true it we can further build and strengthens our knowledge and belief of the church, our Savior Jesus Christ, and of our God. I've put it to the test and I know that it is true, that this is the path that the Lord wants me and all of his children on." That is what I know to be true and these things bring peace and happiness to my life, and that is why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions. I attend Church regularly and strive to do my best in the callings I receive at church. I do my best to read my scriptures everyday and have recently made a goal for myself to read a minimum of a chapter in them everyday for the next year. I love to pray and through prayer I grow my relationship with my Heavenly Father. Yet, other than the cliche answers which I just gave, I uphold my morals and values in my daily life, I work hard in school and on the job, I am respectful of others and I'm always trying to be a better representative and follower of Christ through the means of being a well rounded and helpful member of society.
