Hi I'm Matthew Gundersen

I grew up in Ririe, Idaho. I love to act in plays. I'm a time travel expert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really liked going to high school when I was a teenager. (Really, I did!) My favorite classes were Math, English, and especially drama! I got interested in high school drama after I saw a movie called High School Musical. My first year in drama was probably my best because of some kind seniors who offered me the main role in their ensemble. I also like cool new technology and how it can be used to bless the lives of others. (Including playing Mario games with my friends.)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but the reason why I am still a Mormon is because it's true! I have come to learn that throughout my high school years and college years. I have read thoroughly the Book of Mormon and I testify that it is true.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best person I can be by simply living my faith! I didn't have many callings but I loved visiting my assigned families and teaching them restored truths of the gospel.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Matthew Gundersen
That's like asking why can only some people enter your house. Your home is not just another building, it's a private, sacred place for only your family and close friends. You wouldn't let a complete stranger enter your home without your permission. Temples are God's place of residence. Everyone is invited, but only those who keep His comandments and live rightously can enter the temple. Nothing that goes on in the temple is secret, just like nothing that goes on in your house is secret. The special ordinances performed in temples are sacred. That means that they are so special and personal that to talk about them outside the temple makes them not sacred anymore; God will not be mocked. In the temple, one very special ordinance is to be married or sealed to your family forever and another allows us to be baptized for those who died without the oppertunity to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Matthew Gundersen
A Mormon lifestyle is not much different from any other lifestyle. Mormons do many of the same things that you do. Some include going to dances, parties, movies, golfing, going to a friends house, homework, part-time jobs, classes, after-school soccor teams, and so on. We live our lives just like anybody else you meet! The key difference in how we live, though, is that we make choices based on the kind of lives that God wants us to live. Think about it. There is only two forces in this world. It's not rich or poor. Nor is it old or new. It is good and evil. The only way to be happy is simply do the right thing. We can know what the right thing to do is by reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
