Hi I'm Amy

I paint horses, murals and life size dinosaur sculptures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am on my way to earning a Bachelors of Fine Art at college. I am the oldest of five siblings and am a 4.0 student (at least right now.) Art is my favorite pastime. My favorite medium is oil painting and my favorite subjects are horses. I also have hand painted over fifteen life size dinosaur sculptures at a museum and illustrated a field guide. I take a lot of photos; I have hundreds of thousands on my external hard drive. I also like to make bake, play violin, ride horses and bird watch.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I grew up that way. I never doubted that what I learned was true and eventually my faith was confirmed. Now I can say that I know. If I didn't have the church I would not have stability because I wouldn't have an overall goal in life. There are so many ways to fail depending on what your goals are but when your goal is to live like Christ would have you live then you can't really fail. His atonement allows us to start over and make things right every time. It also is encouraging to know that you are a child of God. With that divine heritage why couldn't you do hard things?

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward as a visiting teacher. It is one of the funnest things I do. My visiting teaching companion is always one of my closest friends and the girls we visit seem to teach us more. We visit and talk about the gospel, randomly make sweet treats, have movie nights and attend activities together. Being a visiting teacher gives me a chance to share my talents in a personal and meaningful way.
