Hi I'm Mandy

I am a student at Brigham Young University Idaho and am studying Health. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I play tennis on days when it is not too hot and enjoy any physical engaging activity held outdoors. I love running, biking, and just being in the different seasons of the year. I am a nanny for two great kids, but will leave in a few months to attend a religious university, BYU- Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

When I moved away from home, it was hard for me to continue to go to church with out the support system that my family and close friends had been to me. But I wasn't in my new ward long before I felt an outreach and a feeling of love. I am a member of this church because it is organized under God, and because it is organized under God, it is the same anywhere that I go in the world. I am a Mormon because of the messages it teaches me and because it helps me to be a better person through living the standards that have been set for us.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have the opportunity to attend church every week and to partake of the sacrament. I am grateful that I can go to the temple and find peace there. I live my faith by striving to live a life that would be pleasing to my Heavenly Father and to his son, Jesus Christ. I abstain from alcohol and drugs. I live a clean life morally and try to make it easy for others around me to do the same. I dress modestly and use clean speech. I educate my mind through studying books and feed my spirit by studying the Book of Mormon.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I know that there is a God because I have a testimony that he lives and that he loves me. I can feel His love for me as I receive priesthood blessings and through the spirit of the Holy Ghost. Knowing that there is a God gives me hope and direction in life. Show more Show less
