Hi I'm Brayden

I'm a Jazz guitarist. I am a missionary. and I'm a mormon

About Me

I studied jazz guitar at snow college for a year and now I am about to serve a mission in the Massachusetts Boston mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it makes sense. It is the truth. This church is the way for people to come closer to Christ because it has the authority to preach the gospel and administer the ordinances thereof

How I live my faith

I want to serve a mission and become what the lord wants me to become.

We want the people who did not have the oppertunity to be baptised to be able to recieve these blessings so we preform proxy baptisms in there behalf. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

By being baptized we enter into a gate that allows us to progress towards Christ. Christ commanded us that we should "go forth and preach the gospel to all nations baptizing them in the name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Ghost" we obey this commandment by baptizing new members with authority given to us by Jesus Christ himself. Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Would you pull over if an ice cream truck flashed its lights behind you? What if a police officer did? People must have authority given to them by Jesus Christ in order to baptise the same way a police officer must have authority given to them to pull you over. That is why it is so important for us to have that authority. Baptism does not mean anything unless it is done by proper authority the same way a ticket does not mean anything unless a police officer gives it to you. Show more Show less

They also live normal lives, supporting themselves with a career of their choice. What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

When we die we meet God, our Heavenly Father, who created our spirits and gave us life. If we lived our lives honorably we enter a spiritual paradise and await the second coming of Jesus Christ. If we, However live dishonorably we will enter a spiritual prison where we will experience sadness and grief for our sins. After the second coming of Christ we will all be resurrected and if we lived honorably we will live in God and Jesus Christ's presence. Those who did not choose to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ will not be able to dwell in their presence and will achieve a lesser glory then those who lived honorably. Show more Show less

The action of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is Christ suffering the penalties of sin that mankind might not suffer them. He understands the pains we go through in this life because he went through them himself. He had to accomplish this in order to save us from our sins and not have to suffer the punishment for them. In church we learn the doctrines of God and his kingdom and renew our covenants we made at baptism. In the temple we make covenants with God. The obligations that God puts us under in the temple are sacred and are above the things of the world. This is why we so not talk about what happens in the temple we do not tarnish or spot it with the things of the world. Show more Show less

This is the rock that supports his church today, revelation and authority from God. Show more Show less
