Hi I'm Gary

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to golf. I also enjoy riding my mountain bike. I enjoy reading the scriptures and other works by inspired authors such as C. S. Lewis and L.D.S writers. My wife and I are the proud parents of eight children, 21 grand-children and eleven great grand-children.

Why I am a Mormon

I spent a good deal of my life wandering around aimlessley, searchihng for something that would fill the void that I felt in my life. I wasn't what anyone would call religious, I attended the Methodist church, because that is where my family were members when I was growing up. I changed jobs, I moved to different states, I divorced and re-married thinking it was what I needed to complete my life. It wasn't until I met and marrried my current wife that I was converted to the LDS church. That emptiness was filled to overflowing. I knelt in prayer and asked my Father in Heaven if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the church I should join. I can tell you, with every fiber of my being, that I know this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God. I know that we have a living Prophet of God on the earth today. I know that the Priesthood of God is restored to this earth. I know that our Lord and Savior leads this church. I know that He has suffered for our sins and through the Atonement has given us the blessing of being with our Father in Heaven after this life has run it's course. The blessings that continue to come into our lives are because of his willlingness to bless us and I know He will continue to do so as long as we follow His commandments. I know that the Book of Mormor is the word of God, and you can know that as well, if you will read, ponder and pray about it, I testify He will let you know of its truthfulness. He knows each and every one of us by our first names. He is our brother, and our advocate with our Father. Liisten to the Spirit and allow Him to guide you.

How I live my faith

I currently have four callings in my ward. I am a teacher. I am the Ward coordinator, and the Buildling coordinator. I am also a District leader for emergency situations in our neighborhood. My wife and I love attending the Temple. I am a Home teacher and my sweetheart is a visiting teacher.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Gary
Our Temples are sacred not secret. We will answer almost all questions about the Temple with the exception of the Temple ordinances. It is a very special blessing to khow that we can have our families on the other side of the veil. Show more Show less
