Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Nathan

I live in Minnesota. I'm working to find a cure for cancer. I'm a Dad of 4. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dad of 4 beautiful children. I love playing and watching sports. I work as a Statistician doing cancer research. I love spending time with my family. We tend to travel a lot and I've been to every state in the US, except Alaska and Hawaii. I love playing with my kids and seeing new sites.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, in part, because I was raised in a Mormon family in the great potato state of Idaho. I am so grateful I was raised in the Mormon faith with loving parents who taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ by example. They taught me from a young age to follow the example of Jesus Christ and to avoid drugs, alcohol, and smoking. Despite the wonderful family I grew up in, it wasn't until I went out on my own for 2 years on a Mormon mission that I really learned to appreciate my family and the great land of America. While on my mission to Australia, I gained a powerful witness that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and that he loves me. I also gained a knowledge through prayer and study that the Book of Mormon is another true witness of Jesus Christ, as is the Bible. The more I live my life, the more I realize that happiness only comes through following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to be a Mormon, where Jesus Christ is truly at the center of my faith. I love attending church with people who not only believe in Jesus Christ, but strive to become more like him every day. I'm a Mormon because it brings me peace, happiness, and direction. I am truly happy to be a Mormon and I love to share my Christian faith with others. I am also grateful that God continues to speak through a living prophet today, just as he did in Bible times. God truly loves us today as much as he ever has and will lead us, as we seek him through prayer.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday School class to 12 year olds at church. I also teach an Elder's Quorum class as well about once or twice a month. I teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ from the scriptures. I love sharing my knowledge of Jesus Christ with them. I also regularly visit a few of the families that attend our church to share a message of hope with them and help them, as needed. I also love helping others as well. I love spending time with my family and sharing my faith with them.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Nathan
They will want to learn all about you and your beliefs. They will listen closely to what you have to say and try to learn from you. They will also share their beliefs about God, Jesus Christ, and the plan of happiness that God has in store for you. They will also invite you to learn about the Book of Mormon, which is a 2nd witness of Jesus Christ. They will invite you to read from the Book of Mormon and ask God if it is true, for God has promised that by the power of the Holy Ghost you may know the truth of all things. They will also invite you to follow the example of Jesus Christ in your life and strive to rely on God for help. They will testify that God truly does love you and that you are his child. He wants all of us to be happy and to know of his plan of happiness. The greatest thing about their message is that you can find out for yourself if what they say is true by asking God through prayer. God can lead you to all truth. Show more Show less
