Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm a nerd. I'm an artist. I love Harry Potter. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up with all brothers with my mom and dad in Centerville Utah. I enjoy spending time with them as well as with my niece and nephew! I studied art Education at Utah Valley University, I LOVE painting and drawing. Reading, Hula Hooping, palying tennis, watching Harry Potter and anything outdoors are how I spend my free time! That is until I was called on a mission, now I am serving a full time mission in Wisconsin! And I am loving every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? Wow! Quite the hefty question! I am a Mormon because of so many experiences and occurance that 2000 characters for sure won't handle! But here are some of the reasons: 1. Junior year high school, one of my friends who was also in my home ward died. I was devestated. I felt like my world was crumbling, and the foundation that my parents had taught me, which was centered on this gospel, was being attacked. I needed to know if Kristy was alright. I needed to know if there was a heaven. I need to know if there was a God! And honestly, for a few months I didn't know. I felt torn between the teachings of the world, and the doctrines of this gospel. I prayed to God so many times, and felt I wasn't recieving an answer. But, as is promised, God hears the cries of his people. He answered my prayer. I knew that Kristy was happy, she was safe, she was cared for. I knew Kristy was with her Heavenly Father. This gospel provided the way for me to gain this knowledge. 2. Why wouldn't I want to be a Mormon? It answers every question of the soul. It answers the questions that are so confusing in this world. It provides a way to navigate through the filth that is around us, from a world that is in chaos. 3. I cannot deny the direction, inspiration, and discernment I have recieved as a missionary. God's hand is in our lives constantly, directing us to the individuals that are willing to receive the message of the Restoration. I have seen the gospel changes lives. I know that that change does not come from what my companion and I share, it comes from the spirit! The church is true! 4. It makes me happy! It gives me something to live for, something to look forward to, and something to be excited about! Man I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my trust in God. Serving a full time mission isn't easy, however rewarding it is! It requires a lot of work, and a lot of faith! Everday I am reminded of how insignificant my understanding, my knowledge, and my missionary abilities are, but I am also reminded every day of how the Lord uses the small and simple things of the world to bring to pass his work. I live my faith by putting my trust in God, trusting that he knows what he's doing when I feel prompted to knock one more door. GO WISCONSIN!
