Hi I'm Josh Cox

I live in Utah, work in a dental office, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of twelve children and incredible parents. After my first year of college I lived in Brazil as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years. Since then I have graduated from Brigham Young University, ran two marathons, and composed a few songs. Most importantly I married my beautiful wife and we are starting a family together. Currently I work as a dental assistant and will be applying for dental school soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to live this faith because I know it is true. I love the Latter-day Saints - ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things because of their faith. Aside from the several good people in my life who have been examples for me, I have personally come to know of the power of the atonement and the reality of a living prophet. The greatest witness that I have of these truths is from the Holy Ghost. He answered my prayers and filled my heart with the love of the Savior. Undeserving as I am, He has embraced me with His love when I turn to Him, even when I have strayed. His love is infinite and His plan for eternal families is complete. I know this is His Church, and it is the vehicle which will enable us to become a zion people, prepared to meet Him when He comes again.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday I attend church meetings, and during the week I attend a religion class with other young single adults. When I can, I'll visit friends I've made in the community, not all of whom are members of the Church. I have found that a lot of doubts and rumors about the "Mormons" are dispelled by just being a friend to neighbors. Studying the scriptures, writing in my journal, and learning the hymns are three personal activities I strive to do daily to keep my spirit in tune with the Holy Spirit.
