Hi I'm Dominique Clements

I am 19 years old. I have been called to serve in the Bogota, Colombia South mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Dominique. I am 19 years old and will be leaving for my mission on November 7th. I completed a year at the University of Utah this past year. I enjoy running, hiking, and anything that involves being outdoors. In about a month I will be running in my second marathon. I completed my first marathon this past April. I have lived in many different places including: Idaho, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Maine. Living in so many different environments I have come to love traveling. I love meeting new people and seeing different cultures and lifestyles.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it brings me true peace, happiness, and joy. I have never experienced such feelings in any other aspect of life than in this gospel. I have found that as I live as strictly as I possibly can to gospel principles the blessings that I receive are astonishing. The gospel has shown me light during my darkest times, and has brought me hope during my hardest trials. There have been times in my life where I did not always follow the commandments as I should have been. I can testify to everyone that there is always a way back. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has paved a way for us to return home to our Heavenly Father through his infinite Atonement. He will always be willing to welcome us back with open arms, ever so ready to comfort and express His love. I know that living in accordance with gospel principles is the way to live. It is the only way I have been able to find true Joy. I testify of a loving Heavenly Father. He is always there to here our soul's complaint and He will do all in his power to care for us, if we but do as he asks. I love this gospel with all of my heart and I am so grateful for a loving Savior and Heavenly Father. I know this is true. I can not deny it. This gospel is the way to make it back to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Just being 19, I was able to participate in a lot of youth leadership callings as I was growing up. As I returned home this summer I was called to serve as the Gospel Principles teacher with another one of my good friends. Together we were able to teach and explain the basic principles of the gospel to other ward members as well as any investigators. Growing up I was able to home teach a total of 5 families with my dad. I really enjoyed being able to visit each of these families once a month while getting to know them and gaining united friendships with them.
