Hi I'm Brian

I'm a husband, father, and a Chief Information Officer. I'm a follower of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my best friend for nearly 20 years and we have four children. I earned an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. I now work in the field of technology. I also serve in the Church. I have a background in Buddhism and Vispassana meditation. I have been blessed to find and practice the Path that leads to happiness in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born a Mormon, I had doubts about the Church and about Jesus and His teachings. I was fortunate to find a Vipassana meditation teacher who helped me find the Path. My study of Buddhism and my meditation practice brought me to the place where I could finally understand the meaning of the teachings of Jesus. After years of testing the principles of prayer, meditation, fasting, and helping others I experienced a change of heart and a true validation, by experience, of Jesus' teachings. Today I continue to serve in the Church and in my community, and I try to live my life the way I believe God wants me to live.

How I live my faith

I practice the teachings of Jesus Christ; and I really do mean, practice. Many gaps remain between what I am and what I'd like to be. But I've learned the teachings of Jesus through prophets and scriptures and I practice them every day. I know how to meditate and pray, and I understand how to receive answers to my prayers. Through these and other practices I have become increasingly free and happy. And this happiness has motivated me to help others, which, in turn, brings even more happiness.
