Hi I'm Tylan

I'm from sunny St. George, Utah! I'm currently serving a Full-Time Mission in the Cebu Philippines Mission! Much love!

About Me

Hello! I am Tylan Jeffrey Glines from St. George, Utah! I have been a member of the LDS Church my whole entire life, and I feel very blessed to have the Gospel! I come from a family of 7; my parents, an older sister, and 3 younger brothers.. I love them so much! I have grown up in St. George all of my life, and participated a lot in my school and community. I was blessed to have participated in many leadership opportunities in high school. My main goal was to help everyone around me, and to make everyone feel of worth. Every. Single. Person. Is. A. Child. Of. God. I have completed two semesters at BYU Provo, and I loved the social life! I have been called to serve in the Cebu Philippines Mission, and I leave in 9 days (I am writing this Sept 10, 2012). I have been patiently waiting for my mission, and cannot wait to be an instrument in the Lord's hands to have the Spirit with me to help bring people unto the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I absolutely love the piano, and I had such a great privilege to be a part of ThePianoGuys this past year before I serve the Lord! I love music with all my heart and I know that if you open your heart to good music, your soul will be lifted forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is the only true church that exists on the Earth today. I know that if I live and keep the commandments of God, I can return to live with my Father in Heaven. I have a strong and very firm testimony of The Book of Mormon, and I KNOW that it is true. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I know that he watches over me, and loves me for who I am. I am a Mormon because I know it's the truth, and I want to help other come unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I'm not talking about going to someone's house and pulling their weeds (although that's great), I'm talking about even as simple as smiling at someone. I base my life around listening to the holy Spirit, and letting Him guide me to help those around me through the simplest of things. I live my faith through fulfilling all of my callings within the Church. It's not easy to be responsible and dedicated, but it's all worth it in the end, I have faith in that.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Tylan
For me, I knew that it wasn't going to be a simple task to know for myself that the Church was true, and that The Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. I prayed for many nights for what I should do to earn that answer of knowing that the Church is true Show more Show less
