Hi I'm Jesse-Okoroji, Promise Ebere

I`m a Mormon and likes serving my heavenly father by serving you. And I was born and raised in Nigeria. I'm serving my Mission.

About Me

I'm a Mormon that lives those principles I want others to live. I'm a convert in the church of Jesse Christ of Latter-day saints. Since I joined the church as young man, I have serve as deacons quorum president, teachers quorum president, priest quorum secretary, branch missionary, six weeks services with a full-time missionary from Ghana and currently branch assistant clerk. Serving in those leadership position , I have learnt some great leadership principle. In school during my days in secondary school(2007-2012), every body wanted to be my friend because they know that I will always have a way to get things done and also that I will always give them the advice that will help them. After secondary school, I started working. Every of those paces that I have done part-time job, have always want to work with me because of the courage, strength and honest they scence around me. And I was able to acquire those qualities because I was able to live the word of wisdom and law of chastity as taught by The Church Of Jesse Christ Of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism is a life style that I found so rewarding to live. The primary reason why I am a Mormon is because I have come to know with doubt that the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints is the Lord's kingdom here on earth, the Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scriptures and contain as does the Bible, words of eternal life.. This book has being able to answer too many of the questions that I have about God, man and serving God. Before I became a Mormon, I don't see any reason why I should go to church, be a christian or even read the scripture. As the missionaries were teaching my family, I was only going to church because I was afraid that my parents would beat me, nag at me or give me any other type of punishment if I don't follow them to church. After my membership, I started learning about the type of life the members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints other wise known as the Mormons were living. It was a bit difficult for me. Dropping old bad friends and life style was a nightmare. I was expected to raise my standard and way of living to a high righteous standard, in other to make my priesthood(the power and authority given to worthy male members of the church to act in place of God) to work effectively.

How I live my faith

In the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints, we have being taught that when we are in the service of our fellow being, we are only in the service of our God. For this single reason I have being doing my best to serve any where I found myself. In my home, everybody want me to run their ear-ans for them because they have notice that I don't fail. When anybody is sick, I will be the one to take care of the person because my family have notice the charity that I have. In my area of residence, I try serving those who needed my service. In church, I have serve in leadership positions that have given me the opportunity to impart lives. Among the youth in my branch, they see me as a motivator, teacher and an adviser.

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Jesse-Okoroji, Promise Ebere
The Church strongly disagree with abortion. And do we think God will not do anything? Of course no He will make justice to prevail. Medically, abortion never being the best option. Less hope the world will join us in this fight to stand in for the defenseless. Show more Show less
