Hi I'm Garrett Braithwaite

I love music, dancing, family, movies, traveling and people. I hope to be a positive influence in the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Idaho. I'm studying Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations, as well as minoring in music. I hope to work in the music and entertainment industry one day and influence the world with good music. I'm the oldest of 5 children and I love my siblings very much. I have more than 60 cousins and I try to get to know each of them personally. I'm very close with my family. I'm from California, so I love most things that cultural California things the state has to offer or things that Californians like to do. This includes going to the beach, going to the movies, going out to eat to all the different kinds of restaurants here, going to the movies, dancing, going to a concert if I can, and enjoy the nice weather that we have all year round. I love baseball and my favorite team is the Angels. I also enjoy soccer/futbol. I served in the Chile Antofagasta Mission for a period of 2 years. I learned Spanish while I was there and it has only increased my love to travel around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for a few reasons: 1. Although I was born into the faith, over time I have developed my own testimony through the experiences I've had throughout my life. 2. I've received many answers to my prayers the way I was taught in my faith. 3. It's the only religion that makes sense and has proved it to the world time and time again. 4. It is the only religion that claims to receive modern revelation.

How I live my faith

I live my faith aspiring to be what my Savior, Jesus Christ, wants me to be. He has given me agency to live my life as I please, but I know that I can only be truly happy with Him by my side. We often times use the word 'striving' in our faith, and that is exactly how I live. I know I'm not perfect, but I try every day to do what is right and I figure out how to become better along the way. My main sources of guidance revolve around prayer, the scriptures, the words of modern prophets and apostles of the Lord, my local church leaders, and anything else that is "virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy."
