Hi I'm Jenae

I am a wife. I am a mother of 4 girls. I enjoy crafting and learning. I am a mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning with and teaching my girls. They teach me more about myself than I want to know somedatys, but it is good. I am thankful for the blessing of being a mother to such wonderful people. The youngest is 3 the oldest is 12. They keep me busy, but when I am not having tea parties, reading books, playing ring around the rosies, volunteering for school activities and painting with them, I enjoy crafting on my own, reading good books, listening to music, going on dates with my Husband, and learning about my purpose in this life. I also like to get out on my own and explore. I love to be outside and hike, this will be more of a reality in my life again soon as my kids get a bit older. I tend to be a bit on the spontaneous side, and my hubby is a firm planner. As you can see, we balance eachother out. In more areas than just this one. I love him dearly and am thankful for him. I am a stay at home Mom, and I love it. Well most days... Sometimes I want to have a break, but I think even if I worked I would want that too. Life is about balancing and sometimes I am better at it than others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it to have the complete truth. I am a member because of the joy the gospel of Jesus Christ brings to me. I am a member because I need it. I am a member because the ways that I can live with Christ again are given to me, in a simple to understand, straight forward way. I am asked to question, I am asked to ponder I am asked to then pray and study the scriptures about it. I am a member because I believe I need to be unified with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in more than just my heart. I need to show my knowledge, belief, testimony and conversion to them, and I believe I can do by being a member of their church. I am also a member because I know that we have prophets today, just as of old. Since we know that God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, how does it make sense that we wouldn't have a prophet now. God is consistant, steady and loves us. He would not leave us alone to guide ourselves. Just as children need parents to guide them we need Him to guide us, and having a prophet is the way he has always used to help guide his children. I am a member because I know it is right. I really love my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. They are real, they are alive and they love me. I know this. I know that the atonement is something I use everyday, not always for sin. Repentance is essential, but the atonement is so much more as well. It will make everything in life bareable. It has helped me forgive others, and learn to trust again, it has made me a much better person than I could have ever been without it. I am a Mormon because I love the lifestyle. I love the help we give to others, and knowing we can also receive. I love how organized the church is. I love that we can go to any building and know that what we will here will be true, I love that when we move to a new area there are people with the same beliefs, the same set of values and I know exactly where to find them. I love it.

How I live my faith

I like to volunteer at my daughter's schools, I make posters and signs for upcoming events since I have little ones at home, I do all my volunteer work at home. I know it is still needed and appreciated and that makes me feel good. I like to be the first person they think of when something is needed. This also applies to how I help out in the Church. I love to help plan and decorate for dinners, devotionals and activities. I work with the leadership in the Primary (the kids ages 18months-11 years) They are so sweet and fun! I love children and love that I get to be part of the progress of my own children and helping other children grow and learn in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have also been the nursery leader in the past (ages 18 months-3) That is one of my favorite callings. What can be better than playing toys, having snacks and teaching the simplest of messages about Jesus Christ. Sometimes those simple messages are the most powerful. Seeing the eyes of the children light up with recognition of their Savior and telling them that he loves them is very powerful. I have also worked with the youth (12-17) and loved that too! Really fun to be able to teach older kids and hear their heartfelt questions, and learn with them. They are so fantastic at these ages, as they know what they are doing and why. This can also be the same reason they are difficult, all ages have their good and bad, and I can honestly say this age is FUN! I have helped with the women's group of the church a lot as well. I love the support I feel from a whole group of women that I know share my testimony of Christ. We are unified through him in a way that not every women's group can claim. We are not petty, or judgemental, we enjoy eachother's differences and really love eachother as sisters. I know I have much support not only at church and the activities we do together, but in my day to day life.
