Hi I'm Seth Soifua

I am Samoan and I am serving in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission and I love to Serve my Hevenly Father and our Savior. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 3 kids and i grew up in the Church. My hobbie of music started at church when i start singing in ward choir when I was just 11 years old. I grew up listing to rap, hip hop or anything a city boy would listen too. But I also grew up with inspireing church music from Janice Kapp Parry, David Osborn, Kenneth Cope, Julie De Azavedo, Jericho Road, Nashville Tribute Band, and also the hymns from the hymns book. I love singing because it bring a good spirit to me. I also love to camp and go out to nature. Hike in the woods, swim in the small lakes, drink from the spring water up in the mountains, and also love to go fishing up in the huge lakes. I also love art and things from diffrent countries like K pop, Anime, Manga, and also some history of some countries like Egypt, Greek, Italy, China, Japan, and also the history of the United States. Those are some things that i love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church and i was raised one. My parents take us to church and i would go to primary and i would listen to my teacher which i think it was my mom who was one of my teachers. I was natural for a young child to follow his parents and there ways and heck my parents made me memorize the 13 Articles of Faith word by word. At that time, I did't see why i have to do all this and didn't have much of an understanding even though I was young. I talked to many of them who was raised as members of the church and tell me that they don't want to live that way and they don't want to listen to there parents cuz they think that they where forced and ended up falling away. Like many, my testimony came from my parents but when i got older i thought to my self that I want to have a testimony of my own by reading the Book of Mormon. I finished the Book of Mormon when i was 17 and a scripture that I read really impressed me. That scripture was Moroni 10:4-5 " And when ye shall receive these things, i would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the Name of Christ, if these things are not true, and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." I testify that the Book of Mormon is true because i prayed to the father if these things are true and it did testify to me that this book is true. I have a testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel. I know that our savior lives and he loves us because he gave us the atonement. I know that Joseph Smith is the prophet of the Restoration and Thomas S Monson is the President of the Church at this time. I know that the scriptures are true and they are Testiments of our savior Jesus Christ. This I Testify.

How I live my faith

I love being with the youth and some days, they let me teach the young men in young mens and even teach the whole youth during sunday school. Its a blessing to be with such young youth and realized that I was that kid listening to my teachers. Usually during wednesdays, I do activitys with the young men such as go camping, play capture the flag, and also play a simple game of basketball. I also have the opertunity to plan some acitvities with the young men and help them what activity they can do for the month or the year. I also love to be part of the Boy Scouts of America and help the young men be the best they can be. Alot of boys who become eagle scouts became a successful missionaries and become good men and examples to the future generation after there generation. I love working with the youth and love helping them for trials ahead and also to help them to not only to be active in the church but also active in opportunity that they can be in like the Boy Scout Organization, and also in school sports. But I also love to see those youth standing up and being a witness of Jesus Christ where ever they go. With the youth, I also love teaching to the Primary. Its a blessing to me that i may be able to be with the kids and seeing them grow up is a bigger opportunity and a blessisng. It takes alot of patience but these kids will make us laugh and also loving these kids is the key in teaching these kids or children about the church.
