Hi I'm D.Jay

I grew up in American Fork, Utah and I am currently serving the Lord in Calgary, Canada for 2 years. I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for my entire life. Living in American Fork, Utah (Mormon Central) many people think that it is easier to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While that may be true, I still have things that I struggle with but being a member of the Church has made it easier to get passed those struggles and hard times and look on the bright side of life. Trials are set-up to make us better people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because in a world full of temptation and sadness. This Church has given me tools that have helped me to avoid that temptation and sadness, and I never want to lose that. Many people don't have that assurance that they won't be pushed passed what they are able to bear and that makes them fall and sometimes they don't feel like getting back up again. With Jesus Christ, even when we get knocked down, He will help us back up as long as we reach for Him to help us.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a church of service. Whether it was Boy Scouts service, hometeaching, or brotherly service, it has always felt good to help someone in need. In the beginning, you may not necessarily want to do that service but once you start and finish, and see their smiling faces, its all worth it. Whether it be mowing a lawn or a simple smile, we can all give service to our fellowmen to help them have a better day.
