Hi I'm John Thomas

I was born and raised in Spokane, WA. I want to make the world a better place in which to live. I´m a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outside. My main hobbies are fishing, hunting, backpacking, and watching sports. I love to read the Book of Mormon while i am in the woods hunting. I love to study about history, especially american history. I want to study at BYU upon returning from my mission and start a family of my own. I would love to have a large family. Another one of my pations is the Boy Scouts of America program. I love scouting and truly beleive that it is a program inspired of God. Boy scouting helps young men develop faith in Jesus Christ, become patriatic for his country, and stay phisically strong, mentally awake, and morally strait. I absolutly love to be in nature. Like i said before, backpacking, fishing, hunting, and hicking make up a big part of my life. In the woods, I feel like the veil between us and God is so thin. Remember where God the Father and His son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith?

Why I am a Mormon

When my mother was about ten years old the missionaries taught and baptized her family. She grew up in the church. In her young 20s she met my father and they got married. Two years after being married, my dad made the great decition to be baptized into the true chruch of Christ. I was born and raised in the chruch. So, why am I a mormon? I´m a Mormon because of the decisions that my parents made to become members of the chruch. I was baptized at the age of eight and was always taught about the prociples of the gospel. But, in everyones life, there comes a time when you have to make the dicision for yourself if the church is really true. Your parents and church leaders have been teaching you these things your whole life, but the day always arrives when you think to yourself, ``is it really true?´´. Well, that day arrived in my life and I had a lot of doubts about the church, but the biggest invite that the church has to offer is to read the teachings, pray, and find out for yourself. That is exactly what I did and I cannot deny the feelings that I felt. Every time that I teach someone about Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ, baptism, fatih, and other doctorins of the church, the Holy Ghost testifies to me that it is all true, and I can´t deny it. So why am I a Mormon? The Lord told me that this is the true church.

How I live my faith

Before going on a mission for the church, I helped the younger boys with the cub scout program. I helped them with scouting activities and also taught them principles of the Gosple of Jesus Christ. I also substituted a lot in teaching the children in sunday school. I love to teach about the church. Right now, I am a full time representitive of Jesus Christ. As a missionary for the chruch, I spend every day, from 6:30-10:30 studying the scriptures, teaching people about Christ´s church, and doing service projects. I Love being a missionary in Brasil.
