Hi I'm Dan

I was born in Utah and grew up as a Mormon. I have had many spiritual experiences as a member of the Chuch.

About Me

I have attended college and received degrees in Elementary education and as an administrator. I was the principal of a school for the mentally and physically handicapped for 6 years and of an elementary school in my home town for 24 years. I am the father of 10 children and have 21 grandchildren. I like to spend time exploring the region around my hometown and am very interested in the history of the area in which I live. I like being active with people and spending time helping others when possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first of all because I was raised that way. However, more important is because I have had many experiences in my life that prove to me that the church has the authority to act in God's name and receive blessings directly from Him. I have experienced many answers to my prayers and have been the recipient of blessings of health through the priesthood blessings. I can always depend on the teachings of the Church to help me make decisions that are a blessing to me, my family and community.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the church and enjoy doing things with others such as hometeaching working with the youth in scouting and other activities. I have had the opportunity to be a Justice of the Peace, a volunteer firefighter, scout leader on the district and council level, and political offices such as precinct and county organizations. I have always been impressed that as an active member of the church it has helped me in making decisions and keeping me on a regular course of action. I am always grateful for the teachings that keep me on a firm foundation to make decisions that are of benefit to others.
