Hi I'm Kent Romney

I grew up in Utah. I love my family, friends, and sports. I'm just a normal 19 year old guy AND I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and loved every minute of it. My parents raised my siblings and I so well because they raised us to love Christ and His Gospel. My siblings and I always had a great relationship because we were taught how important family is. As for me I loved to play sports, write essays and poems (weird right?), drive my Jeep, and listen to music. I played football and rugby in high school, I got to be with my best friends all the time and do the things I love. After high school I chose to attend the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado where I truly learned how blessed I am to be a Mormon. It was the first time I truly had to show my faith and my testimony grew so much because of it. It was tough leaving home and my family, but I learned to rely so much more on my Heavenly Father and Savior that I know now that there is never a reason to fear because God lives and He is always watching over us. I had tons of friends who weren't Mormon that I loved. Great people let me tell you. I love just being around people of all different backgrounds and sharing experiences. It's amazing how much everyone truly does have in common. Right now I'm serving as a missionary in the Kyiv Ukraine mission. It's been the best experience of my life, but let me tell you, Russian is not an easy language! It's all good though because God is watching over me. Really I'm just a simple guy who is trying to follow Christ any way I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I couldn't live any other way. No way of life is better than the life in Christ's church. I'm a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and his Church. My focus in my life is to be like Christ and to do that I must be a part of his Church and do as he did. Right now that means preaching the gospel to the people of Ukraine. I'm honored to be a representative of Jesus Christ and wear his name on my chest. It's really quite simple, I'm a Mormon because I want to be happy. There is no greater feeling in this entire world than God's love. I just know that. In this church and living according to the Savior's teachings I feel His love abundantly in my life, and you can too.

How I live my faith

All I do is try and live the way I know my Savior wants me to. As long as I know that my life is accordance with the Savior's and His Church's teachings, I'm all good. Sure sometimes it's hard to live it, I won't lie. But there is always a chance to use the Savior's Atonement and become a better person. I just try to become a better person every day and the BEST way to do that is to follow Christ. Studying the scriptures and praying every day as well as going to Church every sunday is really the base of how I live my faith. Let me tell you, there's a difference when you start your day off with prayer and scripture study. Somehow everything the rest of the day is just better, I personally don't think that's a coincidence. Right now I'm in a special situation as a missionary where really all I do is serve other people and the church, which makes it the best time of my life! Honestly, I live my faith because it makes me happy. It's just as simple as that. And what makes me happy is following the Savior Jesus Christ.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Kent Romney
The prophets of the ancient America's wrote it. It really is the only logical explanation for how we got the book. You can know the Book of Mormon is true just like I do by simply reading and praying to ask God if it is true. You'll receive the answer that it's true, I promise:) Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Kent Romney
Of Course!!! How could we be the Church of Jesus Christ if we did not study the life and teachings of Jesus Christ? Let me tell you I receive comfort, peace, and revelation from the Bible every time I read it, which is every day:) Show more Show less
