Hi I'm Shane

I love sports. I live in Ukraine. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a missionary serving in the Kiev Ukraine Mission speaking Russian. Before my mission, I spent most of my time on sports or music. I love to run long distances, play basketball, and go to college athletics. I play the piano, the trumpet, and the ukelele, and I like to sing. I studied economics in college for one year, and when I return from my mission I want to continue my studies in both economics and Russian.

Why I am a Mormon

At the start of my life, I was a Mormon because my parents are members of our church. As I have grown up, I have seen the effects that living the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to my family. We are all very happy and my home has always been a place of peace and refuge from a world that is becoming harder and harder to live in. Of course, we have had our share of problems and hard times, but we've always made it through thanks to our faith in Christ. I have had many of my own personal experiences when I have felt love and support from God as I have tried to do what is right. Whenever I face something difficult in life, I can turn to God's words in the Bible and Book of Mormon and find comfort and direction. For these reasons, and many others, I know that God is my loving Heavenly Father and that Jesus Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving on my two-year mission in Kiev Ukraine. I spend all of my time spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and inviting others to come closer to Him through repentance and baptism. I absolutely love my mission and I enjoy bringing happiness into the lives of others.
