Hi I'm Phillip

Born and raised in Queensland Australia. Have been a Mormon all my life. Have a bachelors degree in science.

About Me

I am the eldest of four children born into a Mormon family. I am one of the lucky people with a Dad in a well paying job that is able to provide everything you could need and a mother that tries to do absolutely everything for you. I have completed university and obtained a bachelors degree in science majoring in chemistry. I have always been interested in how things work and love to learn about the chemical mechanisms and reactions behind everyday things. Science and religion do not conflict in my mind. I am a pretty competitive person and love sport, in particular cricket. I have played club cricket for a number of years as a bowler. I have a very tight knit family and see my relatives very often.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church it does not mean I instantly believe. However I have found out for myself that this church is true through the book of Mormon. Missionaries use this book because of the spiritual power of the words contained and ask those who want to know if it's true to pray about it. I wanted to know if it was true so I prayed and recieved an answer that it indeed was. The feeling I felt is undescibable, it was like joy but different, I knew it was true. From this I have developed a strong belief in the Book of Mormon and if the book of mormon is true then it really does contain the words of God and the person who translated it really is a Prophet of God. Consequently the church this Prophet founded, this church, must be the true church.

How I live my faith

I have completed the Mormon youth program and attend the weekly services. I have also been able to teach the youth after finishing the youth program. I have recently been called to serve a mission in the philippines and am currently preparing for it.
