Hi I'm Alex

I live in southern California. I'm apart of the Rebel Alliance and have red hair. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started drawing ever since I can remember. My earliest memories are of me coloring and doodling in an old sketchpad I had. Though I get stage fright I love performing. I dance and sing at my church and school talent shows. I'm apart of my school's choir ensemble. My favorite subject is English, I read and write poetry. When I'm older I'd like to be a writer/singer. My favorite movie sagas include the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Back to the Future. I love to read and going to shows. My favorite decade is the sixties. I'd say that my favorite band from back in the day is Pink Floyd, Pierce the Veil being from present-day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was baptized at eight years-old. I never questioned the gospel then. As I grew up I became more aware of the world around me. I started doubting the church and questioning everything. There was a time when I was in a bad place and made mistake after mistake after mistake. I strayed away from the church. My family, the church and it's people were always there for me though. Until I finally hit rock-bottom I seeked for help. Up until I got help I was a robot. I had no feelings or motives, just went through the motions. Once I had the gospel back in my life I felt a difference. I felt warmth and feeling. My parents could tell the difference in my behavior. Without the church I was numb, to everything. I prayed everyday and I felt as if someone was listening to me, protecting me. I was at peace. I am a Mormon because the church is what gives me the love, warmth, and protection I feel. That is the holy ghost.

How I live my faith

This year at school I've met many new people who are all finding out I'm Mormon and they think it's pretty cool. They'll notice I'll be tired through out the day and I take the opportunity to tell them how I attend seminary every morning. There are many church dances for the youth, which I attend. I go to my young women's mutual every Wednesday and sometimes we're in charge of our ward's activities or youth dances. My family has family home evening every Monday, we all take turns teaching the class every week. I pray several times a day, read my scriptures, and try to be the best I could be.

What is faith?

Alex
Faith is believing in someone or something though you cannot see it. To have faith in Our Heavenly Father is to be believe he is real and loves us all equally and very much. Faith is to believe the doctrines and teachings of the church, including Joseph Smith's story. Faith comes by hearing the words of God. Show more Show less
