Hi I'm Monique

Performing is my passion. My family is my greatest treasure. My faith is my why.

About Me

I am from Utah- where I grew up training in, performing, and teaching Musical Dance Theater. I recently returned from serving a full-time proselyting mission in Melbourne, Australia. I work as a substitute school teacher, a "front desk girl" in an orthodontist office, and any theater job that's available to me from stage managing to performing. I have the most loving, FUN, wonderful family and I love to spend as much time with them as I possibly can.

Why I am a Mormon

From a young age, I have known that God cares about me. I was taught to pray as a child, and I had some beautiful experiences growing up, coming to know that God was my Heavenly Father who knew me and cared enough about me to answer my prayers. My parents are both incredibly faithful people who emphasized the importance of living the gospel of Jesus Christ. They allowed my brothers and sister and I to learn for ourselves the blessings, happiness, and freedoms that come from doing so. My testimony that I am God's princess, is my rock. I FEEL so strongly the truth of that. From there, over time, the doctrines of this church have fallen into place for me and make so much logical sense. In my opinion, there is no better feeling than to be certain that you have found pure truth.

How I live my faith

I love missionary work. There is something so satisfying about inviting people to learn or experience more of what life is really about... returning home to where we came from. I try to make an effort to invite those that I know, whether or not I think they will accept, to get answers to life's most soul-searching questions. I frequently ask myself the question "What would Christ do?" and though I don't always reflect that 100% of the time, I am trying to recognize more often what things He would actually do if He were in my place. When I follow through on the example He has shown, I hope that others can feel His love for them through me. I know I am blessed when I live up to the potential my Heavenly Father sees in me. I know because, like most, I've been down both roads; and when I honestly choose to live by the teachings of Christ's church, I am overwhelmed as I take a step back and realize that I have been blessed with a life I couldn't ask more of.
