Hi I'm Corinne

I grew up in a beautiful town in the mountains. I love the wind and cloudy days. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm a college student and have been a Mormon all of my life. I love the outdoors. I like camping, swimming, biking, kayaking, and especially running. I also like the indoors... especially libraries. I'm a statistics major who also loves to read and write. Good music touches something deep inside of me. I will always love cloudy days more than blue skies, and the clouds, mountains, flowers, and trees all assure me that God is there and He loves me. I strive to learn always and feel all the emotions that come with life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Mormon faith, but that is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because of my own personal testimony. I have a testimony of Christ and His love for me. This testimony has been especially strengthened when I memorized The Living Christ, a testimony of apostles and prophets. Christ was perfectly obedient to His Father and He showed the way back to God. He served people constantly. He loved everyone, especially the children. He taught the gospel and was not afraid to stand for righteousness. Jesus Christ is my Savior and through His grace I can become clean and become strengthened to overcome the hardships in life. I am so grateful for my Savior! I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I have read the book from cover to cover, and have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that it is true. I cannot deny my testimony, and because of my knowledge of the truthfulness of this book, I know this gospel must be true. I love the Book of Mormon, and I know that it provides another witness of Jesus Christ! I know that I am a daughter of God, and that because of this I have eternal worth. Although I am nothing when compared to the glory of my Heavenly Father, I know I mean everything to Him. This gives me purpose because I want to return to my Heavenly Parents so badly! I love them and want to live a life that will allow me, through the Savior's grace, to return to them. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness from the Spirit that the Book of Mormon is true and that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that each of us is a child of God, and I am so grateful for this gospel because it teaches me how to return to live with my Heavenly Father in the eternities!

How I live my faith

I love participating in church activities! Right now, my role is to plan fun activities for the woman in my congregation. Though this I have seen the women in my ward grow closer together, and I have built strong relationships with them. I love it! In the past, I have also played the piano in my class for the girls in my congregation. I love playing and learning hymns. The music touches my heart, and I know that it touches other's hearts as well. I also love to serve others, which is the best way I know to follow the Savior. Whether it is listening to a friend, helping my roommate with homework, or helping with my hometown's race to raise money for children with life-threatening illnesses, I know that service is the best way to show Christ's love.
