Hi I'm Jonathan Argyle

I grew up in Chino Valley, Arizona. I am currently going to school at BYU-Idaho. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending Brigham Young University Idaho. I served a mission in McAllen, Texas, which is southern Texas down to the border of Mexico. I enjoy playing sports, particularly basketball, baseball and most other sports. I graduated from High School in 2011 and worked in a local machine shop until I left for my mission. I also took a year of college online before my mission, trying to get a few courses out of the way before I left. I enjoy sports and music, (I play the piano). I was born and raised in the LDS church and it has played a big role in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know the church to be true. I came to know it to be true by asking God with true intent and seeing the evidences of the truth in my life. I have felt the spirit so strongly in my life, and spiritual experiences have helped continually strengthen my faith in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I know that Jesus is our savior, and that He atoned for all of our sins, so that we may return to live with Him again if we would repent and come unto Him. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that God restored the church to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that God loves us all so much and I am so grateful for His abiding love and patience with me everyday. We all sin, but through the atonement of the Savior, I know all of us can return to live with Him. I'm so grateful for the witness that I have received of the truthfulness of the gospel and for the opportunity I have to share my testimony with the world.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by looking for ways to serve others and by living the principles that I am taught in my pursuit to be more like Christ. I lived my faith by serving a two-year mission for the Lord, Jesus Christ. Before I left, I participated by being a Sunday School teacher for a few months, where I taught the youth. I participated in hometeaching, where you go with another person and visit the homes of members of the church and share a message and see how they're doing. I've also participated by playing piano for church meetings and assuming leadership positions among the youth. The church has been a huge part of my life, because it means so much to me. As I participate in it, I feel the blessings of the Lord in my life.
